Interstate 395 (I-395) is a 4.99-mile-long (8.03 km) auxiliary Interstate Highway in the U.S. state of Maine.The western terminus of the route is at a cloverleaf interchange with I-95 near downtown Bangor.
Principle bodies of water include Hermon Pond (462 acres), Tracy Pond (47 acres) and George Pond (49 acres). Hermon is bordered on the northwest by Levant, on the northeast by Glenburn, on the east by Bangor, on the south by Hampden and on the west by Carmel. It is crossed by U.S. Route 2 and Maine State Route 222.
Hampden is crossed by Interstate 95, U.S. Route 1A and U.S. Route 202, as well as Maine State Route 9 and Maine State Route 69. It is bordered by the towns of Winterport to the south, Newburgh to the west, Hermon to the north, Bangor to the northeast, and (separated by the Penobscot River) Brewer to the northeast and Orrington to the east.
Upon reaching the town, US 1 and SR 3 split off and SR 15 turns northward towards Bangor. SR 15 continues towards Bangor, straddling the east side of the Penobscot River, along with US-1A to the west. SR 15 enters Brewer and follows South Main Street to an interchange with Interstate 395 (I-395) at exit 4.

The western terminus is at SR 8 , SR 11 and SR 27 in Augusta and the eastern terminus is at SR 102 and SR 198 in Mount Desert .
