Five institutions, all Division II members, fielded teams in a Division I sport for the first time in the 2024–25 school year. LeMoyne–Owen and Rockhurst added men's volleyball; Menlo , Roosevelt , and Vanguard , which played that sport in the NAIA in 2023–24, aligned fully with the NCAA.
In February 2006, the University of Texas at San Antonio approached Carr Sports Associates, Inc. to conduct a feasibility study and make recommendations to the university regarding an expansion of the athletics department. The UAF Bristol Bay Campus (BBC) is one of several rural campuses administered by the University of Alaska Fairbanks system. The campus is located in Dillingham, Alaska , and serves the many remote communities of Bristol Bay , Alaska Peninsula , Pribilof Islands , and the Aleutian regions of southwest Alaska .
The University of Texas at San Antonio houses a collection of records from the UTSA School of Music. The collection spans the years 1975 through 2006 and includes programs of recitals and concerts of the faculty and students of the UTSA School of Music. Also included are black-and-white photographs of various performances and events.
