Cossairt leads a synthetic inorganic chemistry research group working primarily in colloidal nanoscience. Cossairt's team works to prepare new molecular precursors, develop new synthetic methodologies, and explore the details of complex reaction mechanisms. [ 11 ]
Inorganic Chemistry is a biweekly peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the American Chemical Society since 1962. It covers research in all areas of inorganic chemistry. The current editor-in-chief is Stefanie Dehnen (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology). [2]
She has developed new techniques to grow single crystals of intermetallic phases. She was the Guest Editor of the American Chemical Society Inorganic Chemistry theme issue on Solid-State Inorganic Chemistry. [9] In 2019 Chan was inducted into the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
Description: A classic general textbook for an undergraduate course in inorganic chemistry Importance: This book is not only a good introduction to the subject, it was very different from earlier texts and "led to a fundamental shift in the way in which inorganic chemistry was studied". [16]
This is a list of scientific journals in chemistry and its various subfields. For journals mainly about materials science, see List of materials science journals . A
Inorganica Chimica Acta is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published since 1967 that covers original research and reviews of fundamental and applied aspects of inorganic chemistry. See also [ edit ]
Inorganic compounds exhibit a range of bonding properties. Some are ionic compounds, consisting of very simple cations and anions joined by ionic bonding.Examples of salts (which are ionic compounds) are magnesium chloride MgCl 2, which consists of magnesium cations Mg 2+ and chloride anions Cl −; or sodium hydroxide NaOH, which consists of sodium cations Na + and hydroxide anions OH −.
Connie C. Lu is a Taiwanese-American inorganic chemist and a professor of chemistry at the University of Bonn. She was previously a professor of chemistry at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. [1] Lu's research focuses on the synthesis of novel bimetallic coordination complexes, [2] as well as metal-organic
