The new name is Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, it has been renamed during the visit of King Salman bin Abdelaziz to Dammam November 2016. The main campus is in the coastal area of Al-Rakah (situated between Dammam and Khobar). Several colleges are scattered around the eastern province (College of Medicine is in the main campus.)
In 2020, PMU ranked among the top 1000 universities worldwide, according to QS World University Rankings (750-800). PMU also ranked 44 in the QS Arab University Rankings and was listed among the Top 50 under 50 QS Rankings, [3] seventh among the Saudi Universities according to QS and third in Saudi Arabia, and 101–200 in the world according to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings in 2021.

Majmaah University (MU) is located in Al Majma'ah, Saudi Arabia. It was founded in 2009. [1] [2] The university main campus is located in the south part of Majmaah City. Teaching and research are delivered in 13 academic schools. The university is established to serve a wide area including Majmmah, Zulfi, Remah, Ghat and Hawtat Sudair.

Al Yamamah University (YU) (Arabic: جامعة اليمامة) is a university based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education. [1] It was founded by Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Khudair from Al-Khudair Family, who in 1957 established Al-Tarbiyah Al-Namouthajiyah Schools (Arabic: مدارس التربية النموذجية), the first private schools in Riyadh.
