This is a documentation subpage for Template:Election. It may contain usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page. This template is one of many available for presenting election results; however, the eventual goal is that this template becomes the standard used throughout Wikipedia.
The candidate template is used once for each candidate and contributes a row to the table. Each candidate template should use the same number of countX parameters, and these should match numcounts in the begin and end templates. For example, if numcounts = 3 then all candidate templates should contain the count1, count2, and count3 parameters.
