AG Jeans was founded in Downtown Los Angeles in 2000 by Italian designer Adriano Goldschmied and Korean-American jeans manufacturer Yul Ku. Adriano Goldschmied (born 1944, Trieste, Italy) is an Italian fashion designer who focuses on denim jeans. He is known as "the Godfather of denim" [1] and is the originator of "premium denim". [2] The founder of Diesel, [3] he also created Replay, Gap 1969, Agolde, [4] Goldsign, [5] and AG Adriano Goldschmied.
