Vernon High School is located at 3232 Moss Hill Road in Vernon, Florida. It is one of two high schools in the Washington County School District. The current Vernon High School on Moss Hill Road was completed for fall of 2006 classes. It features wireless computer networking and a 325-seat auditorium. [4]
Moss Hill stands on a wooded and hilly lot on the east side of Litchfield Road, south of Norfolk village. It is a large 2 + 1 ⁄ 2-story structure, built of stone and stucco with half-timbered gables in the Tudor Revival style. Its main block is covered by a hip roof with paired gables set in the short ends.
In addition to Hardin, the district also serves the unincorporated areas of Moss Hill, Romayor, and Rye. In 2010, the school district was rated " recognized " by the Texas Education Agency . [ 1 ]
