Charles Blomfield (5 January 1848–15 March 1926) was an English-born artist who executed paintings of New Zealand landscapes, including the Pink and White Terraces, a notable natural feature that was later destroyed in the 1886 eruption of Tarawera.
Jonathan Robert White MNZM (12 September 1938 – 17 July 2021) was a New Zealand landscape artist. Largely self-taught, his work is recognised both in New Zealand and internationally, and is held in many public and private collections across the world.
Charles Henry Kennett Watkins was born in Ootacamund, India to Major John Watkins of the Indian Army. [1] After attending Wellington College and studying in Switzerland and France, Kennett immigrated to New Zealand at the age of twenty-seven where he first found work as a photographer before teaching in Russell. [2]
John Walsh is a painter who was born in 1954 in Tolaga Bay, New Zealand. He is of Aitanga a Hauiti/ New Zealand Irish descent. Although he attended Ilam School of Fine Arts in Christchurch between 1973 and 1974, he is largely a self-taught artist. He now lives and works in Wellington, New Zealand. [1]
