Stockton University CDP is a census-designated place (CDP) covering the residential population of the Stockton University campus in Atlantic County, New Jersey United States. It first appeared as a census designated place in the 2020 U.S. Census [ 61 ] [ 62 ] with a population of 2,428.
The small community was known as New Rockford and Old Rockford in the 1840s. In 1852, the terminus of the north-south Jeffersonville, Madison and Indianapolis Railroad was in Rockford. [3] It was known as a pork packing center and had several established businesses such as a grist mill, post office, Masonic Lodge and a newspaper.
WLFR (91.7 FM) is a college radio station broadcasting a Variety format. The station is owned by Stockton University, [2] licensed to the Pomona section of Galloway Township, New Jersey, United States, and serves the Atlantic City area.

The Lazarus store was later closed in April 2003 by its new parent Macy's as a part of a nationwide cost-cutting measure [28] [29] [30] and the site was left vacant for nearly two years before it was razed and a T.G.I. Friday's was built at the location in November 2005 [31] [32] but without a connection to the interior of the mall. T.G.I. Friday's closed in November 2015. [33]
