On September 29, 1954, the road was extended southwest to the Guadalupe County line. On October 21, 1954, the road was extended to FM 621 near Staples, replacing FM 1981. FM 964 was cancelled on April 18, 1958, and transferred to FM 20, although the route remained signed as FM 964 until the 1959 travel map was released.
Farm to Market Road 521 (FM 521) is located in Southeast Texas. It runs from US 90 Alt. in Houston as Almeda Road to SH 35 near Palacios. At nearly 95 miles (153 km), FM 521 is one of the longest farm-to-market roads in Texas. FM 521 was designated on July 9, 1945, from SH 36 in Brazoria to SH 35 at Bailey's Prairie.
Farm to Market Road 450 (FM 450) is a 30.6-mile-long (49.2 km) route that runs through Harrison, Marion, and Upshur counties in northeastern Texas. It begins in western Harrison County at the intersection of FM 968 and FM 2625 (the latter also ends here) and travels north towards Hallsville.
Farm to Market Road 1001 (FM 1001) is located in Titus County. FM 1001 begins at an intersection with US 67/FM 2348 just east of Mount Pleasant. The highway travels in a northeast direction and crosses I-30 before entering Argo. After leaving Argo, FM 1001 turns east and ends at an intersection with FM 1993/County Road 3425. [3]
