Khyber Medical College (Urdu: خیبر میڈیکل کالج, abbreviated as KMC) is a public sector medical college located in Peshawar. Khyber Medical College is the oldest medical college of the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and was established in 1954.
Five District Municipal Corporations (DMC) were established in 1987. The KMC was abolished in 2000 and 5 DMC's were merged in City District Karachi. The City District Karachi was divided in 18 Towns and 178 union councils. In 2011 Sindh Government restored again Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and 5 District Municipal Corporations (DMC).
Initially, this project was launched in the name 'Girl campus of Khyber Medical College' with the first batch of 50 students during the academic session 2004-05.
