[3] The commonly known brand name of PTFE-based composition is Teflon by Chemours, [4] a spin-off from DuPont, which originally invented the compound in 1938. [4]

It has good chemical resistance, a low dielectric constant, low dielectric loss, and a low coefficient of friction, making it ideal for reactor linings, circuit boards, and kitchen utensils, to name a few applications.
Teflon is a brand of PTFE, often used as a generic term for PTFE. The metallic substrate is roughened by abrasive blasting, then sometimes electric-arc sprayed with stainless steel. [8] [9] The irregular surface promotes adhesion of the PTFE and also resists abrasion of the PTFE. [10] Then one to seven layers of PTFE are sprayed or rolled on.

Oilite Plus is the same bronze alloy as an Oilite, impregnated with turbine oil and fine particles of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). This reduces the friction by approximately 17% versus standard Oilite material. This material is usually used in applications that exhibit mixed-film or boundary condition lubrication.
