KTU was established by the Government of Kerala through an Ordinance on 21 May 2014. [7] Kuncheria P. By 2013, the college requested the formation of a chair named Malloor Govinda Pillai Chair on Criminal Law, and a proposal to form Justice K.K Mathew Chair on Constitutional Law was also pending with the government.
