There is a new fine wine bar in Helsinki airport (Finland). The idea of the bar is created by a group of Finnish wine writers, sommeliers and collectors, known for their Fine Wine Magazine (Scandinavian, British, German and American editions) and their newly released book 1000 Finest Wines Ever Made. The concept is to present five fine and mature fines at a time by the glass, and one of these ...

I have not purchased this allocation yet but have the mailer for it. If anybody wants it, let me know and I'll send the PDF form to you Unfortunately, even as a long time lover of Diamond Creek, I can't come close to wrapping my head around this one. For $5,000, you would get: --one 5L hand-painted bottle of 2012 Lake --one 750 etched bottle of 2012 Lake with a relief of Al Brounstein (founder ...

Smoothies are the only thing that works for me for weight loss. I go with mostly green veggies and fruits like bok choy, apples, kale, etc.
I tried a port wine for the first time recently. I hated it the first time because it was tooth-achingly sweet. I saved it and tried it again a few days later. I appreciated it a bit more then but wow it tasted like liquid raisins, really. Too sweet for my tastes.... Do you have suggestions for good port? This one was from Portugal...any other regions of note or maybe a good producer in ...
Sorry to be a channeler of negativity but am just wondering if others feel the same way. The blog section on winespectator.com is almost redundant, the article section in the magazine not much better (often more pages of advertisements than articles), we now have tasters/critics combining coverage of different regions and countries, and no news of improvements or new ideas. I'm locked into a ...
Oh, I do not know. Every year is different. I do not recall the '02 being Nouvelle Vague. I was just curious if the new wood was showing.
