The Spotsylvania Towne Centre (formerly Spotsylvania Mall) is a mall located in Spotsylvania County, Virginia, on Virginia State Route 3, less than a mile west of Interstate 95, and directly across from the Central Park shopping and dining complex. The mall is owned and developed by Cafaro Company.
The county seat remained at Andrews Tavern until it was moved to its present location at Spotsylvania Court House in 1839. [ 5 ] [ 6 ] Since the construction of the building, it has served a number of purposes including United States Post Office (1842–1862) and, during the American Civil War , Confederate post office (1862–1865).
Todds Tavern was the focal point of a cavalry battle on 7–8 May 1864, between the battles of the Wilderness and Spotsylvania Court House during the American Civil War. [1] The tavern location on Brock Road carried the name of Charles Todd who died about 1850.

Stirling, also known as Stirling Plantation, is a historic plantation house located near Massaponax, Spotsylvania County, Virginia. It was built between 1858 and 1860, and is a 2 + 1 ⁄ 2-story, five-bay, brick Greek Revival and Federal dwelling. It measures 56 feet by 36 feet, and has a hipped roof and four interior end chimneys.
