The DC16, launched in 2006, is Dyson's first handheld vacuum cleaner based on the same technology as used in the DC14 and DC15 root cyclone upright vacuum cleaners. The DC16 has 36 airwatts of constant suction. The DC16 shares the same styling as the other recent upright and cylinder vacuum cleaners in the Dyson range, and weighs 1.5 kg (3.3 lb).
The only company that expressed interest in the new cyclonic vacuum technology was Dyson's former employer, Rotork. Inspired by the 1937 science fiction novel Star Maker by Olaf Stapledon, [5] the physicist and mathematician Freeman Dyson was the first to formalize the concept of what became known as the "Dyson sphere" in his 1960 Science paper "Search for Artificial Stellar Sources of Infra-Red Radiation".
The innermost Dyson sphere of the matrioshka brain would draw energy directly from the star it surrounds and give off large amounts of waste heat while computing at a high temperature. The next surrounding Dyson sphere would absorb this waste heat and use it for its computational purposes, all while giving off waste heat of its own.
Dyson Sphere Program takes place in a futuristic science fiction world, where a society exists primarily in a virtual computer space, which demands a great deal of power and computational ability. To expand that, they have sent one of their members, the player, into the real universe to construct a Dyson sphere from resources in a nearby star ...
