Belvidere Community Unit School District 100 (BCUSD 100) is a unified school district located in Belvidere, the county seat of Boone County, Illinois.The school district is composed of twelve schools in all, with all schools being located in or near the city limits of Belvidere, with the exception of Caledonia Elementary School in Caledonia, Illinois.
Belvidere North High School is the second high school in Belvidere, Illinois and part of the Belvidere Community Unit School District 100. It is right next to Seth Whitman Elementary School and Belvidere Central Middle School.
The school won back–to–back state championships in football in the autumns of 1993 and 1994. [10] Belvidere High School's current biggest rival is Belvidere North High School. Before that school was created, however, Rockford Boylan Central Catholic High School was their biggest sports rival.
As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprising two schools, had an enrollment of 631 students and 61.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.3:1. [1] Starting in the 2019-20 school year, Third Street School was closed and all PreK-8 programs are part of Oxford Street School.

The old Belvidere High School is a complex of four connected buildings that reflect three different architectural styles: Classical Revival, Prairie School, and Art Deco. It is composed of the 1893 Garfield School, a 1900 powerhouse, the 1916 Belvidere High School, and the 1939 Belvidere High School Auditorium & Gymnasium.
