William L. Sayre High School (commonly referred to as Sayre High School) is a high school in Philadelphia and a part of the School District of Philadelphia.It was founded in 1949 as a middle school serving grades 7–9, becoming a high school in 2003.
The community gave its swimming pool to the Sayre Area School District in 1951. The first high school building was actually constructed in 1891 and 1892 and renovated with an annex in 1897. It was a recreation center and later became a 4-6 elementary school. Litchfield Elementary School was built in 1967.
