Original Post. Hi! Everytime I move my Mods folder to my desktop (like when installing new expansion or stuff packs) I notice that it creates a new CFG file in the new Mods file that the game generates. Is it okay to have more than one CFG file in there (they have different dates) or should I just delete the earlier ones and only keep the latest.
I downloaded a sim from the sims 4 resource, including all the custom content used to make her but it won't show up in my library no matter what I do. Remember the Mods folder should be in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4. Don't worry, you don't need to create a new account. You wouldn't have the game in the new account, indeed.
Options. Psychotps. ★★★★ Expert. @reeseecup420 Mods replace existing tuning files with altered ones. That's how mods work. If your game is saying you have an outdated tuning file then you either have an old outdated mod, or your game files are bad. Bad game files can be fixed by doing a Repair in origin.
For CAS items, the path looks like this: Mods>CAS Clothes-Female>MTS-Creator Name (some have subfolders like undies, swim, etc,) or Mods>CAS-Makeup>Lipstick>Creator Name. It depends on how many downloads I have for a given creator whether they have subfolders or not.
A lot of script mods broke with the last patch - plus it introduced a bug where apparently sims with high singing skill lose interactions, unrelated to mods. After a game update, it’s always best to test without any mods or cc - not even better exceptions - and then gradually add things back in, continuing to test as you go.
The title screen of a new pack didn't show up giving me information about it. When filtering items the pack does not appear and over half of the items say "object is missing its footprint resource" when I try to place it in the world. Help please! 15 people had this problem. Try right-clicking in the game in Origin and hit repair game.
Move your Mods folder to the desktop, launch the game, make sure mods and custom content are enabled, and when you quit, you should have a new Mods folder with a new resource.cfg inside. You can add your existing mods to that folder. I don't work for EA. I'm just trying to help fellow players with their games.
