Bradford is located on U.S. Route 219, just south of its junction with Interstate 86 north of the New York border. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.1 km 2), all land. Bradford is situated in a valley in the Allegheny Mountains and is surrounded by woods and steep hills.

Bradford County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.As of the 2020 census, its population was 59,967. [2] Its county seat is Towanda. [3] The county was created on February 21, 1810, from parts of Lycoming and Luzerne Counties.
