Montgomery.The first sequel to Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables (1908), the book covers the second chapter in the life of Anne Shirley, from the age of 16 to 18, during the two years that she teaches at the Avonlea school on Prince Edward Island.
In 1987, Anne of Green Gables: The Sequel (also called Anne of Avonlea) was released.
