Mark Jerrold Henry [17] (born June 12, 1971) [4] is an American former powerlifter, Olympic weightlifter, strongman, and retired professional wrestler. He is best known for his 25-year career in WWE. Henry is a two-time Olympian (1992 and 1996) [2] [18] and a gold, silver, and bronze medalist at the Pan American Games in 1995. [4]

The 2017 World's Strongest Man was the 40th edition of the World's Strongest Man competition. It was held in Gaborone, Botswana from May 20 to 28. [2] The tournament was won by Eddie Hall of the United Kingdom, with Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson of Iceland second and defending champion Brian Shaw of the United States third.
