Santa's Village Amusement & Water Park (formerly known and colloquially referred to this day as simply Santa's Village) is a theme park in East Dundee, Illinois.It was originally built by Glenn Holland, who also built two other Santa's Villages, in California; one located in San Bernardino County and the other in Santa Cruz County.
SkyPark at Santa's Village is an outdoor adventure park with year-round mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing and open air activities in the Skyforest section of Lake Arrowhead, California. It opened on December 2, 2016, on the site of the former Santa's Village amusement park, which operated from 1955 until 1998.
Santa's Village was the brainchild of Normand and Cecile Dubois who, in the early 1950s, wanted to create something novel to their region. [2] Seeing deer crossing the road sparked Norman's belief that the North Country in New Hampshire would serve well as Santa and his reindeers' home. [3]
The winter wonderland includes Christmas lights at every turn and cottages modeled after Santa's village at the North Pole. The village remains on display Thanksgiving through Jan. 1.

In 1977, the Santa's Village Corporation filed for bankruptcy, and in 1979 the park closed for good. In 1990 Borland International purchased the land as their world headquarters. [4] The park had its own freeway exit off Highway 17, and as of 2023, the freeway exit signs still read "Santa's Village Road".
