A 0 Series Shinkansen power car which was used in Taiwan for testing is on display at Tainan HSR station. This is one of only two Shinkansen on display in a museum outside of Japan. The 700T Series, operated by Taiwan High Speed Rail, is the first operational Shinkansen type exported outside Japan.

The G sets were officially classified as "100' series", and 50 units were built from 1988.
