The MacGregor 26 is an American trailerable sailboat, that was designed by Roger MacGregor and first built in 1986, with production ending in 2013. [1] [2] The boat was built by MacGregor Yacht Corporation in the United States. [1] The design was developed into the Tattoo 26, which remains in production by Tattoo Yachts. [1]
MacGregor has produced models under two brand names, Venture, used until 1977, and MacGregor. These are usually abbreviated to M-and V-in model names, with a number following indicating the approximate hull length in feet. Many models, whose production spanned the 1979 brand name change, were sold under both names.

In honoring the design, the hall cited, "Henry Ford is often credited with bringing the automobile to the common man. Roger MacGregor, a one-time Ford employee, may well be credited with doing the same thing for the cruising sailboat.
