Advanced Placement (AP) International English Language (also known as APIEL) is an AP Examinations course managed by Educational Testing Service (ETS) with the sponsorship of the College Board in New York. [1] It is designed for non-native speakers to prepare for studying in an English-speaking university, particularly in North America.
Placement testing is a practice that many colleges and universities use to assess college readiness and determine which classes a student should initially take. Since most two-year colleges have open, non-competitive admissions policies, many students are admitted without college-level academic qualifications.
A major revision of the test occurred in 2013 leading to the launch of CaMLA EPT Forms D, E and F. [2] A further three test forms were released in 2015: Forms G, H and I. The CaMLA EPT can be used with learners of English as a second language at all levels, from beginners to advanced.
