"Relax" is the debut single by English new wave band Frankie Goes to Hollywood, released in the United Kingdom by ZTT Records in 1983. The hit version, produced by Trevor Horn and featuring the band along with other musicians, entered the UK Top 75 singles chart in November 1983 but did not crack the Top 40 until early January 1984.
"Relax" (New York mix) is the third 12" mix, which was originally released as the "Sex Mix" (as, confusingly, were the first two). It features four minutes of instrumental loops and textures before cutting to the standard vocal mix. The Ollie J and Jam & Spoon mixes were first released on the 1993 reissue of "Relax".
The cover art was conceived by ZTT owner Paul Morley and illustrated by graphic artist Lo Cole.The front cover featured an illustration of the Frankie Goes to Hollywood band members; on the back of the album was an illustration of a large animal orgy; and the inner gatefold artwork was an image of a procession of animals entering the head of a very large phallus.

In August 2009, Johnson presented an hour-long show "In the Beginning" on BBC Radio 2 about the Beatles, while he also appeared in the new video for Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "Relax" as the DJ. Since then, he has performed The Power of Love twice in Germany, also performing the song at the opening of Life Ball 2011 in Vienna .
