Belkis Ramírez was born in 1957 in the province of Santiago Rodríguez, Dominican Republic. [citation needed] She studied at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, graduating with a degree in Architecture and Graphic Design in 1986. [1] She worked and lived in Santo Domingo until her passing.
