Holy Trinity was established as the first Catholic school in the District of Columbia in 1818 by Father John Ralphio lII. [3] At the time, it served only boys. Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy was established in 1957 as Holy Trinity Parish Day School. Its founding rector was The Reverend Alex Boyer.
