The Changjiang (Yangtze River) Scholar award (Chinese: 长江学者奖励计划; pinyin: Chángjiāng Xuézhě Jiǎnglì Jìhuà), is the highest academic award issued to an individual in higher education by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.
Applicants must not have received any financial support from the Chinese government, such as the CSC scholarship, during their studies. Applicants must not have received this award previously. Applicants in Group A and B must be no more than 40 and 45 years old, respectively, at the time of application.

In 1988, the Chang Gung Institute of Nursing was established as a two-year junior college program for nursing. A five-year program was established in 1991 and the institute was promoted to Chang Gung Institute of Technology. It also offered a two-year college program.
