Project Mars: A Technical Tale is a science fiction novel by German-American rocket physicist, Wernher von Braun (1912–1977). It was written by von Braun in German in 1949 and entitled Marsprojekt .
The Mars Project is a technical specification for a human mission to Mars that von Braun wrote in 1948, with a provisional launch date of 1965. [1] He envisioned an "enormous scientific expedition" involving a fleet of ten spacecraft with 70 crew members that would spend 443 days on the surface of Mars before returning to Earth. [ 1 ]

Project Mars: A Technical Tale, 2006 (posthumous) novel by Wernher von Braun. As I previously said at Talk:List of fictional astronauts, I'll continue plugging away at reading/viewing/searching for these and adding the astronaut characters to the list, but others might also like to have a go.
