After Arlong informs Nezumi, a bribed Marine, of where Nami's earnings are hidden, the village riots against Arlong despite poor odds. After Nami tearfully asks Luffy for help, he and the remaining Straw Hats free the village by fighting and defeating the Arlong Pirates. After a days-long celebration, Nami re-joins the Straw Hat crew.

Luffy, Nami, Chopper, and Brook decide to set sail to rescue Sanji and take Big Mom's Road Ponegliff.
Nami asked Chopper to move aside away from the cloud she made and the cloud electrified Sanji and Brook. Chopper claims he is scared and he won't eat the cloud. Meanwhile Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Franky and Robin are hanging out. Luffy tells Usopp to hurry up with the fish hook because he wants to catch and eat a big fish.
Luffy and Koby sail to a Marine base in Shells Town to get a map of the Grand Line, a treacherous route believed to house the One Piece. The pirate hunter Roronoa Zoro is arrested for fighting Helmeppo, son of Marine Captain Morgan, but is freed by Luffy. Nami, a thief who also wants the map, helps Luffy steal from Morgan's safe.
Nami saves Luffy from Cracker's Biscuit Soldier with the help of King Baum and the homies she has enslaved, and forces the homies to undergo the suicidal mission of attacking the Biscuit Soldiers. As Luffy rests inside King Baum's mouth, Cracker catches up to the group, and in anger cuts off King Baum's top.
The Usopp pirates abandon him. Nami asks Usopp why he said he made everything up. Usopp replies that it is because he is a liar. He says how he loves the village and wants to protect it, so he will stand against the pirates. Luffy, Zoro, and Nami decide to join him, and so Usopp stands up, declaring that even though he is scared, he will fight.
Luffy refuses to believe that Galley La cannot repair the Going Merry before he and Nami realize that not only is Usopp missing now, but the two brief cases that were returned to them are empty. Nami decides to head to Franky House and finds Usopp on the way in a pitiful state, heading back to the ship for help while Usopp goes to the Franky ...
