The GS report in the box said he fired 100 rounds without failure. I took the pistol to the gun range and couldn't fire more than two shots before the firearm failed to extract the spent case. I sent it back to Sig and demanded they change the extractor. Sig changed the extractor and sent the firearm back to me.
Since there is a "new" discussion on P320's catastrophic failure, after Ben Stoeger's instagram post (which I saw earlier independently), I thought I would share my own experience of P320's failure. This happened about 2 years ago to my trusted P320 X5, which I replaced the original polymer grip with a TXG grip.

I googled the problem and lo-and-behold, now I find many, many videos about problems with removing and reassembling the slide on the P320 and the problems, multiple sources and causes, have been going on since 2014 and don't appear to be fixed because there's a steady stream of videos.
