[refinish the wood and you should have a $250-$300 shooter] [Surely its worth more...] That particular A5 - a "Browning"-marked Remington Model 11 - in that condition, is worth $375 as a base gun, plus 20% for the VR ($75) and 10$ ($37) for 20ga = $470 +/- , less 50% for the stock refinish resulting from remedying the pad and surface condition(s) = $235 +/-.
A5 Guy thanks for the information and recommendations. I got on to Browning's website to try and figure out the year of manufactur but couldn't find the serial numbering system to match what is on my gun. Thanks for getting that for me.

[Browning Auto-5 20 gauge serial: 7Z9680, Belgium made, purchased 7-7-79] The SN indicates that it was made in 1967, the beginning of the infamout Browning saltwood era - so it could be a saltwood gun. If it has/had saltwood, or the damage to the metal underpinnings, there could be a value reduction of up to 50% normal value.

I have a Browning Belgium 20 gauge auto 5 and best I can tell from previous posts it’s a magnum. Serial number 68Z38711. It’s very clean no rust or damage shoots well kicks like a mule. I’m wanting to know value to look at a trade for an O and U trap gun. Can anyone help?
The only A5 salt that I have heard of was a 1967 Presentation Grade. In '69 standard barrels were 22", 24"(slug), 26", 28" 30" & 32". If the box is pristine and all the paperwork & packing is there, a NIB 12ga A5 Lightweight with a VR will sell for $1200-$1500 in my area.
