Haslet is a city in mostly Tarrant County and partly in Denton County within the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex in the U.S. state of Texas, and is located 15 miles north of downtown Fort Worth and 20 miles south of Denton. Haslet borders Interstate 35W, U.S. Highway 287, and Alliance Airport. The population was 1,952 at the 2020 census.

V.R. Eaton High School is a public high school in far northern Fort Worth, Texas, [2] with a Haslet mailing address. It is a part of the Northwest Independent School District (NISD). Eaton, NISD's third comprehensive high school, was opened in August 2015 with grades 9–10. In 2018, they were 5A State Champions in baseball. [3]
Northwest ISD was created in 1948 when the communities of Haslet, Justin, Rhome, and Roanoke met to consolidate their school districts into one. The community of Fairview was added to the district the next year. Construction began in 1950 on a consolidated high school. [6]
