P.S.: Yes, I know 1.16.5 is mainly a server side update, and 1.16.4 clients can still connect, but the question still stands, as if they were to release a version of 1.16 that changed things. This has been getting some new comments recently so I figured I’d update. No, I never figured out a way to change the version via the CurseForge launcher.
For old Minecraft users to reminisce, share, and make stuff for anything and everything leading up until official release 1.2.5! Members Online Whats best minecraft alpha version with bright grass to play survival on?
It's a fork of GDLauncher with the need for account removed. Can't remember when I last used it, but development was lagging behind GDL. IIRC there were minor issues searching or downloading mods. I only played local, no idea if it can be used to play online. TLauncher legacy. Its the original, safe version.
1.7.10 is still the greatest minecraft version to mod and has the most mods available. Downside most mods are updated with cool new features. Next is 1.12.2 which is the new standard. 1.16.X is on it's way but because people simply refuse to update it to the newest MC version and add compatibility I doubt it will be the next 1.12.2.
Minecraft is broken. I am considering downgrading to (cracked) earlier builds simply because the new ones don't even run smoothly on A grade hardware. It's likely a pirated version of MC will work better than the official new releases really. Seriously, i didn't play MC for years (i think around 8 years ago lmao)
Open the :grass~1: Minecraft section of the app. Click the top search bar where it says Search for modpacks OR Click the Browse Modpacks Tab. Find the Modpack you want to install and click install on it. Wait for the CurseForge app to download and unpack all the required files. Once finished, click Play!
How to relive the Golden Age: Over the years many Minecraft servers have updated or closed, and many versions have broken or been lost. Fortunately, there's a strong community working on keeping the golden years alive, with new mods, texture packs, servers, all sorts.
Have heard about Eclipse OpenJ9 that seems to be optimized for java applications, such as minecraft. So thats my question. Ty in advance. Newer versions of Minecraft require java 17+. I usually recommend Java 17 Temurin JDK to most people for a better performance. 17.
Honestly my favourite post release version is 100% 1.16.5 because it's a really good upgrade to the game. The nether especially has been a really simple place but with the released of 1.16 minecraft has really been amazing. 1.8.9 Will Forever be the best version of Minecraft.
