The Slender Man (also spelled Slenderman) is a fictional supernatural character that originated as a creepypasta Internet meme created by Something Awful forum user Eric Knudsen (also known as "Victor Surge") in 2009.
Slender: The Eight Pages, originally titled Slender, is a short first-person survival horror game based on the Slender Man, an infamous creepypasta (online horror story). It was developed by independent developer Mark J. Hadley using the game engine Unity and was first released in June 2012 by his one-man studio Parsec Productions.
He uses gas canisters to power a generator, and looks for a key to unlock a gate to the Matheson family chapel. While there, he discovers that the Matheson family were responsible for accidentally bringing the Slender Man to Oakside. Charlie, now a deformed and zombie-like follower of the Slender Man, pursues him and eventually chases him away.
