Sort by: Drewfro666. • 6 yr. ago. Wights are your generic intelligent corporeal undead. They're the perfect fit for when you need an undead antagonist that has form (in other words, zombie, not ghost) but isn't necessarily a spellcaster (like a lich) and is obviously undead (unlike a vampire). They don't have any unique abilities; they create ...

The biggest threat the wight poses to a level 3 party is the same threat that any creature with a two-attack multiattack poses: if they drop a PC on the first attack and hit the downed PC on the second attack, and there are no allies in Initiative between the wight's turn and the dying character's turn, then they are making death saves with 2 ...

A humanoid slain by this attack rises 24 hours later as a zombie under the wight’s control, unless the humanoid is restored to life or its body is destroyed. The wight can have no more than twelve zombies under its control at one time. Humanoids slain by a wight can rise as zombies under its control. So it’s up to the DM to decide what this ...

While there doesn't appear to be a simple table in Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition dnd-5e, there was one in the Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 dnd-3.5e Dungeon Master's Guide 2003, 29. Though it's not as necessary in 5e to have a 'rule for everything', size in 5e is almost exclusively defined by the space a creature takes up in combat.

  7. What's the difference betwean wight and vampire? : r/DnD - Reddit

A vampire is a creepy and mysterious dominator with its own agenda. A wight tends to be a brute force commander, typically itself under the thrall of a powerful master. A vampire creates vampire spawn, a wight creates zombies. Those are very different types of creatures. 8.

This is a way to give the players loot even if the monster entry normally wouldn't allow for it, and the wight never had to know it was there. Reply. llaunay. •. I recently had this exact delemma, here's what I did for one of them: a sullied leather pouch. 8 grimey coins of exotic/invalid currency.

A while ago I saw a post on her about the most ridiculous things that have happened in D&D and in the comments someone mentioned starting a wight apocalypse. It involved turning yourself into a wight, using some feat or spell to make the touch attack have an AoE, and walk through an urban area. I've been looking for this post for a bit and can ...

  11. What's the difference between a wight and a lich? : r/DnD -...

Wights are driven to destroy all living things, and are slaves to the powers that created them. Liches pursue their own agendas. Liches must feed souls to their phylactery to maintain their existence. Wights have no such needs. Wight-dom is contagious. Lich-dom is not. Liches are spellcasters. Wights are not, as far as I know.
