SkyOne Federal Credit Union was founded in July 1949 as CAA First Federal Credit Union with eight members to serve the Civil Aeronautics Administration employees and their dependents. [3] In 1978, the credit union changed its name from CAA to FAA and was serving FAA employees in 13 Western states.
The two Leagues entered into a management agreement in 1996 and became known as the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues. The Leagues are the largest state-level credit union trade association in the United States. The Leagues are geographically divided into 20 networks (18 in California, 2 in Nevada).
