Shinedown has found much of its success on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, as each of their 32 singles the format has reached the top five, with "Dance, Kid, Dance" becoming the most recent in February 2025. Shinedown is an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed by singer Brent Smith in 2001 after the dissolution of his previous band, Dreve. Smith, still under contract with record label Atlantic Records , recruited the band's original lineup of Jasin Todd as guitarist, Brad Stewart on bass, and Barry Kerch on drums.
Bass is the only musician featured on the album. Besides singing, he plays all the instruments and also handled the entire production of the album. [1] In an interview Bass said that the album was fully finished, including post production, before the writing of Shinedown's album Planet Zero, but he didn't know at first if he wanted it to be publicly released.
