In the 1956 movie Hot Rod Girl, he played the auto-repair shop owner, Mr. Fry. In 1957, he appeared in the episode "Revenge" on the syndicated crime drama Sheriff of Cochise and as Sanders in the episode "My Horse Ajax" on NBC's children's Western series Fury .
In 1955 he was cast as Joey Newton, an orphan who is taken in by rancher Jim Newton (played by Peter Graves), who introduces him to a horse named Fury, after whom the series was named. The show, broadcast on NBC , ran until 1960.
