Margaret Yvonne Middleton (September 1, 1922 – January 8, 2007), known professionally as Yvonne De Carlo, was a Canadian-American actress, dancer and singer.She became a Hollywood film star in the 1940s and 1950s, made several recordings, and later acted on television and stage.

Yvonne De Carlo had been under contract to Paramount Pictures and had been short-listed for important roles in The Story of Dr Wassell and Rainbow Island without actually being given them. She was cast in September 1944. [3] Wanger later said he discovered her by looking at a camera test of another actor in which de Carlo also appeared. [4]
De Carlo was under contract to Universal at the time, and had just been entertaining US troops in Europe. She was reluctant to make the film as it was a Western, but did not want to go on suspension.
