The baseball diamond was later named "Ralph Coleman Field" for the head coach who stepped down after 35 years following the 1966 season. The Scott Halbrook Memorial Scoreboard was added to Ralph Coleman Field in 1986 in memory of the 1981 freshman outfielder, who died in a freak accident just three days prior to his first season with the Beavers.

Beaver Local High School has been a member of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference since 1991, and the related Buckeye 8 Athletic League since 2013. They were also part of the Buckeye Border Conference (1961–1974), Tri-County League (1974-1976), River Valley Conference (1990-1999), and All-American Conference (2008–2013).
The caps are navy blue, and feature either a red feathered "R", or the aforementioned ostrich logo without the wordmarks. The home jerseys are cream and have traditional red pinstripes, but are given a faux-flannel look to the design. In the center is the red "Fightin Phils" wordmark with the player's number in red right below it.
