At the time, Singapore was the first country in Southeast Asia to have Michelin-starred restaurants and stalls, and was one of the four states in general in the Asia-Pacific along with Japan and the special administrative regions (SAR) of Hong Kong and Macau.

Restaurant André was a fine-dining restaurant in Singapore that served French Nouvelle cuisine. [1] The restaurant was opened on 10 October 2010 by André Chiang, who also served as the head chef. [2] The restaurant had since closed on 15 February 2018.
