Business Bay (Arabic: الخليج التجاري, Arabic pronunciation: [alxaliːdʒ altidʒariː]) is a rapid transit station on the Red Line [1] [2] of the Dubai Metro in Dubai, UAE. It opened on 15 October 2010 along with four other intermediate stations on the Red Line.
As of 2021, the Red Line had 31 stations on the main line, and an additional 4 stations on the branch. The line is 52.1 km (32.4 mi) long, with 4.7 km (2.9 mi) underground. The station is one of two underground stations on the Route 2020 section of the Red Line, along with Jumeirah Golf Estates. It is located at the Green Community in Dubai Investment Park. [8] Facilities include bus stops, disabled parking, retail units, and a taxi drop-off zone. [3]
Union station opened on 9 September 2009 (09-09-09) as part of the initial stretch of the Dubai Metro, with Red Line trains running from Rashidiya to Nakheel Harbour and Tower. [2] Union was one of seven intermediate stations to begin service, with additional stations on the Red Line added intermittently over the next year.
