Perry's Camp, now known as Flat Branch Cottages, was founded c. 1928 when Charlie Perry developed the site where Flat Branch joins the Little Pigeon River as a tourist resort. [1] Located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee , Perry's Camp was one of the first tourist courts in the area that has since become a tourist mecca.

Development of the site included a hotel and outdoor waterpark. The second area opened in December 2008 and offers a condominium resort and indoor waterpark (titled the 'Wild WaterDome', which is one of the largest indoor waterparks in Tennessee [1]). The third area added was the 'Lake Wilderness' outdoor waterpark and became available in May 2009.
The grounds cover 4,200 acres (1,700 ha), and the resort has 62 rooms. [8] Blackberry Farm hosts culinary, musical and outdoor sporting activities and events on and off property. [9] The property includes a timberframe barn from Pennsylvania, a dining and entertainment venue, a spa, an events hall, and guest cottages.
