Judsonia is a city in White County, Arkansas, United States.Stan Robinson is the current mayor, first elected in 2018. [3] The population was 1,854 at the 2020 census.The city is located immediately northeast of neighboring Searcy, and north of the Little Red River before it turns southeast toward the White River.
The Courier started its life as the Saline County Digest, founded in 1876 by W. A. Webber. [1] In 1882 it was bought by B. A. Beavers and given the name the Saline County Review, before being bought by S. H. Whitthorne and named the Saline Courier in 1883. [1]
She attended Arkansas State University-Beebe and the University of Central Arkansas. [1] [2] In 1968, she married David Powell Jr. and the couple lived in Dallas, Texas, while her husband attended mortuary school and then moved to Judsonia, Arkansas, and Searcy. They had two children, David Powell III and Tammy Powell.
The publication was founded in 1871. The paper's owner Gatehouse Media closed the paper on Sept. 6, 2019, but then sold it that same day to businessmen Andrew Bagley and Chuck Davis.
