Amy Poehler (/ ˈ p oʊ l ər / POH-lər; born September 16, 1971) [1] is an American actress and comedian. After studying improv at Chicago's Second City and ImprovOlympic in the early 1990s, Poehler joined the improvisational-comedy troupe Upright Citizens Brigade in 1995.
