Curtiss–Wright Aeronautical University was a flight school in Chicago, Illinois founded by aircraft manufacturer Curtiss-Wright.Open from 1929 until 1953, the university was the first accredited flight school in the Midwest which accepted black students and instructors.
The riverboat was named after Park Construction Administrator Joe Fowler, a former US Navy rear admiral who was in charge of the construction of both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. [1] [2] In 1980, it was completely destroyed after being dropped by a crane attempting to the lift the riverboat into the dry dock area.
