The United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) is a Pentecostal organization in the Oneness tradition. It has about 3 million constituents worldwide. The following is a list of universities and colleges affiliated with the UPCI.
Urshan University, formerly known as Urshan College and Gateway College of Evangelism, is a Christian college in Wentzville, Missouri. It is owned and operated by the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI). [2] In 2012, the college was acquired by Urshan Graduate School of Theology, through which it offers graduate programs. The only endorsed accredited institution not owned by the UPCI is Christian Life College in Stockton, California, [45] which has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) since 2019. The college was formerly known as Western Apostolic Bible College until 1980. As of the 2018–2019 school year, the college had 166 students with 52% female and 48% male. The first, known as Southwestern Bible School, was established in 1927 in Enid, Oklahoma, under the leadership of P.C. Nelson. The second, Shield of Faith Bible Institute, was founded in Amarillo, Texas, in 1931 under the direction of Guy Shields. It included not only a Bible school, but also a grade school and a high school.
